Instructor: Cathy Fiedler Join us for fun and relaxed classes to learn the art of fly tying. With some practice, a few techniques you will be well on your way to create traditional and creative fly patterns. Materials and tools will be supplied for each class and pattern that we will tie. Instructors: Brittney Taylor, Mel Joy Dates: Sundays, March 3 & 17, 10am - 12pm Learn to knit a baby toque and booties in a two day workshop. One of the best ways to learn new skills is to knit small things as they take less time and the size is not as important. In the first class we will be making the toque and the second class we will be completing the booties. You can choose whether you want to learn the magic loop technique on one circular needle or use 4 Double Pointed Needles. Beginners welcome- Lots of fun and support! Acrylic Paint Pouring Silhouette | FEE: 45.00

Instructor: Wendy Franz Acrylic pouring is a fun painting technique resulting in abstract works of art. Even those who have no painting and drawing skills/experience can create beautiful paintings or projects. Join Wendy in this fun-filled (and a little messy) class as she steps you through the process of creating your very own acrylic poured masterpiece. We will be painting and using the acrylic pour swipe technique to create a beautiful 11”x14” canvas. But as always… be warned acrylic pouring may become addictive! All supplies include. No experience necessary. 12 years of age and over. Maximum 8 students. $45 *Must be left to dry for 2 days before pickup.

All the Things: Wallhanging or Table Runner | FEE: 70.00

Instructor: Carmen Ditzler, Hermit Felt All the things- Wall Hanging or Table Runner Wet felt, needle felt, use an embellisher machine, free motions stitching, hand stitching, beads maybe even fringe!! This class is two days. Sundays, March 10 & 17 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm Wet felt a flat piece of felt for a wall hanging and as a medium for embellishment. Play with colour and shapes in wool and wet felt them together. Learn how to add integrated felt loops for hanging. Then the next week play with needle felting, by hand and with an embellisher machine, free motion machine stitching, beading and hand stitching. At least one wet felt class is required. No experience required for embellishment. Extra materials, machines, and tools will be supplied. Bring two old towels, bubble wrap, 100g of your main colour merino roving, and any favourite felting fibres to the first class. $70 includes both days. (Max 8 min 4)

Sock Club | FEE: $100.00

Instructor: Carmen Ditzler. Sock Club! We meet monthly and it is a place for those either wanting to learn how to make different socks or for those who just share a passion for making them and want to be around others who are just as addicted. We are participant-driven so if there is a pattern you like or want to try and still want some guidance, bring it along and we will do our best to add them to the project list. Carmen is here to provide all the help you will need and we have a great group of sock lovers who know the best swear words! The cost of the evenings is $100 and that pays for four evenings (once a month, usually every third Friday of the month) of fun, support, friendship, and snacks. Sock club is continuous, you can start any month and the only requirement is that you need to have made at least one pair of socks already. You don't need a lot of experience but we do want you to have an understanding of the process.

Instructor: Wendy Franz Acrylic Paint Pouring Beach Scene (2 part class) Saturday, March 23 3:00pm - 4:30pm Saturday, March 30 3:00pm - 4:00pm Acrylic pouring is a fun painting technique resulting in abstract works of art. Even those who have no painting and drawing skills/experience can create beautiful paintings or projects. In the first of a 2-part class, you will learn how to make a beautiful beach scene using several different acrylic pouring methods. Each student learn the techniques and tools to create their very own 12”x 12” beach painting. In the second class, after your painting has time to cure, we will be embellishing your painting with sea shells and finishing it with a spray sealant. But as always… be warned acrylic pouring may become addictive! All supplies included. No experience necessary. 12 years of age and over. Maximum 8 students. $45
